Indigo- RM of BTS
Sun-bleached record faded like old jeans.
I read the line "Sun-bleached record faded like old jeans" on the album cover, and it made me think.
Under the sunlight, everything looks golden and shiny. However, it also loses its actual colour. Even though it looks beautiful, it is not the real thing. The sunlight acts like a filter and changes the actual colour. We only see the sun-bleached version. We need to see the natural side, which might not be as beautiful as we think. Like an archive of his 20s, this album is a sun-bleached record capturing various parts of his life, and his journey as an artist. New jeans are always very stiff and uncomfortable. But as we use and wash them many times, they become softer and more comfortable. Life is like that. It's a process. It's about becoming more comfortable after many different experiences. Just like jeans, life only becomes comfortable after it has been through a lot.
Life is like that. Life is like jeans. It only becomes comfortable after many different experiences. We become more relaxed once we have experienced the good, the bad, and everything in between. Namjoon's album is about himself, who has been through a lot and is now comfortable. His jeans have worn out beautifully, and now they feel familiar. This album is the account of his twenties, which he passes down to those who need it. He is handing down his old faded jeans to make our experience more familiar and comfortable. This album tells us that it's okay to feel lonely, it's okay to go through changes, and to make bad decisions that you might regret in the future. But the key is not to dwell upon it. You have to pull through and look back because those decisions, good or bad, have made you who you are today. Believing you are the best version of yourself today would be best. And this version of you will always live in a quiet meadow like a wildflower. It will live on eternally like a painting on a canvas. It will always be a part of you, so cherish it.
